Connect Japan was in charge of arranging study trip for Japan Parking Business Association and Bicycle Parking Industry Association in June 2012. The main purpose of this study trip was to learn about European parking business and bicycle policy. Connect Japan was responsible for arrangement of appointments for visit in Austria and in the Netherlands. Visited companies and parking facilities includes SKIDATA in Austria, Shimano in the Netherlands, bicycle parking space at Bunnik station designed by Lo-Minck, Hoofddorp bicycle parking space designed by Wheelylift.  Delegation has also visited the Amstelveen city hall to learn about the Dutch Bicycle Policy. Connect Japan has also joined the trip both in Austria and in the Netherlands as interpreter.

Since January 2011, Connect Japan supports the Dutch innovative company: Wheelylift.com to set up their business in the Japanese  market. The tasks included translation of Wheelylift.com’s website/presentation material, finding the potential partners, arranging appointments with the potential partnes, visit Japan with Wheelylift.com as facilitator.  As a result Wheelylift.com has succeeded to sign contracts with two Japanese companies! The last week of June, Wheelylift.com and Connect Japan has visited Japan to meet with the potential partners. On June 29th,  we have held a product presentation at the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Japan. This presentation has been on the news release website of the The Cycle & Car Parking Information Center and on Parking Press magazine issued by Bicycle Parking Lot Industrial Assosiation.
